Steam announces pre-purchases of Alpha Protocol are now being conducted through their steamy digital marketplace. Those who opt to buy Obsidian Entertainment's spy-themed RPG before its release will get a free copy of Gas Powered Games' action/RPG Space Siege to play now. Alpha Protocol is currently expected in October. Also, there's a new Alpha.Protocol Blog on IGN describing the types of choices Obsidian wants to leave open to the player to allow for a personal style of play as they "hope to make a game where no two playthroughs of Alpha Protocol will be precisely the same."
