The Natural Selection 2 Website has an introduction of the Infantry Portal for Natural Selection 2, which will work much as it did in the original game to allow marines players to respawn, with the following change: "The IP will also have one additional feature which is that marines can instantly rejoin their squad by using the computer screen on the back, once the IP has been upgraded."
