Today is the 40th anniversary of the belated close of the Woodstock Music & Art Fair. In a complete coincidence, the little road trip we took on Sunday took us directly through Bethel, NY and right past Yasgur's farm during the commemoration of this, which we probably would have tried to avoid if we'd realized it in time. Luckily, though some areas were obviously a bit overrun, we didn't really hit any congestion caused by this. The only slowdown we had on the whole trip (flat tire aside) was some rubbernecking that turned out to be caused by an overturned horse trailer, which was a very upsetting sight until we saw the driver off on the side of the road with his horse, who thankfully didn't seem to have suffered any injuries.
