The playable demo for Hearts of Iron III is now available, offering the promised sample of this World War II RTS sequel. Paradox announces they are maintaining a list of mirrors on this page, and the 615 MB download is available on AtomicGamer, Clubic, ComputerGames.ro, FanGaming, FilePlanet (registration required), Gamer's Hell, and GameStar.de. The demo contains the tutorial for the game along with the 1939 single-player campaign, playable as either Germany, France, Poland or the United Kingdom.
