Spore owners still running Patch 5 are so last week already, as the Spore Patches Page now offers a newer update for EA Maxis' life simulator. The update is available through the EADM program for PC users obnly, and Mac users are told to "check back soon." The new patch clears up a couple of bugs, and has been designated Patch 5.1, sending them down the slippery slope towards the actual version numbers they have clearly tried to avoid. Downloads of a manual edition of the patch can be found on AtomicGamer, Gamer's Hell, and The Patches Scrolls.
