It was 40 years ago today that Apollo 11 took off on its voyage to the moon, within the decade time-frame promised by President Kennedy, an accomplishment that may well be used forever to humiliate lesser achievements that took more time. Anyway, I find this a fascinating topic, and am looking forward to some of the online and televised retrospectives on this.
