the History of... actura
-----written in Quake era-----
Actura software: software company that released a cd compilation of quake levels and addons without the creators' permissions. spawned the "skrew actura now" campaign. in the past, companies have illegally repackaged user made levels and addons for doom/2, even though id's license forbade it. see more community action info at the Guide...

Quake II does not include textures in levels as QI did, but the user-license specifically does not permit users to sell levels. Version 3.14 of QII's gameplay source code was accompanied with a EULA (End User License Agreement) which was even more explicit in forbidding illicit TCs like Juggernaut (for Quake II).
