I won't say you are wrong, but in none of these instances did I lose which topics had "new posts" or failed to indicate which topics I had looked at -- which I assume is also controlled by cookies. *shrug* It happens infrequently enough even if there was "an issue" it would probably very difficult to find. Maybe eventually someone can tie an action to the problem...

Not a major issue or worry, but I thought I'd mention for two reasons 1) in case anyone is seeing this so they can know they are not insane 2) if so, alert the team for some possible trouble shooting when they are looking for something to do.
Just waiting whether others would chime in. But since that didn't happen, and because the headline is controlled by a cookie in your browser, I have to consider this to be a local problem. New Blue is the default when no cookie is set, so perhaps your browser is a bit forgetful.
