I've done some searches, but I'm not sure which software / tool is right for me... have you ever tried or experienced any of them?

I was a hiring manager in IT for a few years. We used Indeed, but the best resumes I got was from a recruiting firm (I forget the name now). IIRC the problem with Indeed is that I just got a lot of resumes that didn't follow the precise instructions I left for application, so there was a lot of crap to sift through. The problem with recruiters of course is that they cost 1000s of dollars, but the quality of candidates is excellent. All that said, you'll really need your dev manager to assess the candidates to see if they are a good fit technically and personality-wise.
