Seriously, are we not past the rebellious open source movement at this point?

open source technology in general is the wave of the future, however at this point its still a fairly distant future imo.. probly about 50 - 100 years

by then general coding knowledge will be much more commonplace, probly even taught from grade school onwards just like math, lit, etc.

#1 reason Google OS is not a threat - no one actually wants dumb terminals. They can use cellphones and smartphones for that functionality.

Google OS is no threat because it's open source and thus the victim of sub-par QA and sub-par coding.

Seriously, are we not past the rebellious open source movement at this point?

Windows 7 is rock solid and will be the dominant OS for years to come.
