Ships Ahoy - Street Fighter IV

Street Fighter IV for Windows ships today in North America, and should be hitting stores now. And for those looking to kick some ass without getting off of theirs, the game is also available via digital distribution from Direct2Drive, Impulse, and Steam. The first rule of fight club is you don't talk about fight club, but fortunately, this isn't fight club, so here's word on Capcom's fighting game sequel: "Street Fighter IV brings the legendary fighting series back to its roots by taking the beloved fighting moves and techniques of the original Street Fighter® II, and infusing them with Capcom's latest advancements in next generation technology to create a truly extraordinary experience that will re-introduce the world to the time-honored art of virtual martial arts."

Yep, uses GFW:Live for match-making, so expect good performance but a hard time actually pairing up with someone!

Its a fighting game... on PC. I would not be surprised if ANYONE bothered to stock it. True its a good game but the platform its on... about the only way your going to reliably get it is off of Steam.
You might want to investigate the MAME scene - the PC has the largest Fighting community out there.

Hey, plenty of fighting games are on PC...in Japan. Hell, the arcade cabinets are PCs.

My local Bricks and Mortar outlet has it. By the references to Walmart and Best Buy I will assume you are in the USA, so you need to head about 4,000 miles east-north-east. Easy.

Amazon says July 9th arrival so that may be why you can't find it locally yet. "Shipping today" to stores apparently doesn't mean arriving today.

Can't find a boxed copy at any brick and mortar in town. I'm sure in part this is to do with boxed computer games being hard to find in general, but none of the seven Best Buys in town, and (apparently) no GameStop for 100 miles has it. Maybe WalMart does, but I don't care for that place. Gamestop, at least two of the local ones, have never failed to have a computer game on release day in the past. Dark days for people who like boxes. There are always the mail-order outfits though.

Looks like Steam for me then, which is kind of a shame.
