GOG.com Deals

The good old gamers at GOG.com announce the addition of some new old games to their DRM-free marketplace. They have added Crystals of Arborea and Ishar 3 to their Ishar Compilation, which remains at $5.99, and yes, those who bought this when it was a two-game collection can get the other two games for free now that this has become a four-game anthology. They also now offer The Pandora Directive, the fourth Tex Murphy game, for $9.99, and have added Personal Nightmare to their $5.99 selections, with the 1989 horror/adventure game earning the distinction of being the oldest of their vintage offerings. Finally, since no weekend is complete without a sale these days, they announce that starting tomorrow, all their pinball games will be 20% off through Monday.

The Pinball deal is awesome. You can get three out of the four Pro Pinball tables (GOG don't have The Web) for less than $15! Best computer pinball tables ever.

Meridian 4's Chains which was only recently added to Steam, got retrospectively added to the complete bundle pack. But the two did come out very close together.

Nice, retroactively adding games to packages people have already paid for. I've never seen steam do that.

Yeah, I'm quite honestly shocked. Steam has really lowered my standards, I expect to get screwed by every online outlet. Nice to see that GOG is an exception to the rule.

I don't even want to think about how many times I've purchased the same games on Steam because they were included in a new package deal... but no extra copies, and no cost reduction. GOG's business practices makes me question why I keep supporting Steam.

I don't remember Personal Nightmare at all, but it looks pretty cool.

Thanks Tom!
