WoW 3.2 Details

The World of Warcraft Under Development Page has first details on the next patch for World of Warcraft (thanks WorldofWar.Net). Word is:

    • The Argent Tournament Expands: With the help of Azeroth's heroes, the Argent Crusade will finish the Argent Coliseum just in time to call for all brave citizens to prepare for battle with the Lich King. New dailies, rewards, and more will be available at the Argent Tournament grounds to lure adventurers into the coliseum.

    • Crusaders' Coliseum: In order to prepare for a siege on Icecrown Citadel, players will be called by the Argent Crusade to test their mettle in the Coliseum. 5-player, 10-player, and 25-player challenges await inside.

    • New Battleground: Isle of Conquest, a new large-scale siege Battleground, will be open. The Horde and Alliance will battle head-to-head for control of strategic resources to lay siege to the keeps of their opponents.

    • New Arena Season: Season 7 will officially start, paving the way for all-new items and challenges.

Obsidian Sanctum and Ulduar taught me this: the days of raid versus a single boss are over. It is now about fighting a boss with multiple adds, and in waves. Situational awareness is the key.

William Shakespeare's "Star Wars" Act I, Scene 4: CHORUS: And now, dear viewers, shall our play go to \ A Planet stark and drear for our next scene. \ Imagine sand and rocks within thy view. \ Prepare thy souls - we fly to Tatooine!

I think the idea is they are going to have simulated but slightly nerfed variations of the Old Gods relative to level 80 as opposed to 60. My guess would be the idea to re-introduce these old fights is to get people back into how the old game mechanics were rather then what they are now. Then again, this also makes me feel like Blizzard is just being terribly lazy.

The raiding crowd are going to want something new to do in 3.2, so ostensibly the Coliseum is of a higher difficulty than Ulduar. How are they going to explain the fact that the Argent Crusade supposedly has things tougher than an Old God sitting around in their basement as a training dummy?

Crusaders' Coliseum is PvE. Think of it an instance akin to Ring of Blood in Nagrand but harder. That's what the mass speculation is, anyway.

They're just really pushing the PvP content aren't they? I suppose it's a lot easier to just supply a framework then get the player's to supply content for each other in the form of PvP.
I don't always drink carbonated Mexican rat piss, but when I do, I prefer Dos Equis.
