PC RE5 Confirmed, Bionic Commando and SFIV in July

Resident Evil 5 is headed to the PC, reports MCV, confirming reports of Windows plans for the survival/horror sequel that first surfaced earlier this year. A release date is not specified other than "later this year," but word is it will be fully optimized for the PC platform, and will offer additional content not included with the console version, as will the PC editions of Street Fighter IV and Bionic Commando, which they reveal will be released this July.

I would rather see Resident Evil 4 properly remade for PC since RE5 was one of the biggest letdowns this year.

Edit: In before bitching about Securom.

Yeah I'd rather see a good RE4 port as well.

I briefly played the demo of RE5 on X360 and was unimpressed. Graphically it's great but the gameplay is completely flat... nothing like the atmosphere of RE/RE2.

Street Fighter IV is already on the Coming Soon tab. Unfortunately - and Caveman rightly predicted such discussion - it will almost certainly feature limited activations, as was seen on FLOCK! and Age Of Booty. Capcom doesn't have a fucking clue when it comes to customers or digital distribution. And yes I have the right to moan as I'm really looking forward to SFIV but will have to pass if it features limited activations.

Well Lost Planet and Devil May Cry 4 didn't have any activation, so... it's kind of 50/50.

Great news though, I was waiting for a PC port of RE5 instead of buying it on PS3.

All of Capcom's games released this year (FLOCK!, Age Of Booty) have had limited activations and they have publicly defended such DRM. If they're using limited activations for budget casual games then it's virtually guaranteed they'll be used for full titles. So while they may not have used it in the past they're definitely using it now. That's a real shame.

Well, those are download-only titles... as weird as it may be, they could think those are more needing of DRM.

I just beat RE5. I loved it. I almost never play a game to completion, and that one had me hooked.

will offer additional content not included with the console version

What are the odds that this will be the multiplayer that was sold as DLC for the console version even though it was on the disc all along.
