Experience Lives

The Whole Experience, Inc makes the surprising revelation that they've revived Experience, the science fiction first-person shooter they first announced a decade ago. We have three new screenshots from the game, which is set on a planet called Dagoth Moor, where you are the Quagmire, the planetary custodian. They will be revealing more soon, but in the meantime, here is the basic plot: "One massive Exod plant was discovered by the Seers of the Renmus tribe. This plant was different than anything they had ever seen before and it was moved into the safety of their cave. For nearly a generation the plant continued to grow there in the Seers home cavern. The elder Seer had heard of an old prophecy claiming that in a time of need at the end of the world a stranger would come and restore balance to the planet. There inside the massive Exod plant your body has finally grown and it is time to fulfill that prophecy."

Hey Sky here at WXP - wanted to clarify a little what you are seeing, this is a game we've been trying to do for 10 years, its why we started our company, this is a labor of love and we have a team of about 12 guys here that are doing this for chump change and love - we have 5 artists, not 150 and 60million dollars - lots of late nights! Its looking better every day though and I think you'll be surprised as we release more shots... stay tuned!

The graphics aren't that bad, but they do have a strange plasticky look to them. I've never paid any attention to this game. It doesn't look or sound terribly interesting, but then I don't know anything about what the gameplay is like.

Wow. They've upgraded the graphics so they only look 10 years old!

Talk about a blast from the past! I got to visit these guys up in Seattle back in 1998-99. Got to play a rough demo and all, then go to lunch with a few of the guys.

Ah, the memories...

Dagoth Moor sounds remarkably similar to Dagoth Ur.

Holy shit, I was just trying to remember the name of this game a few months ago, wondering whatever happened to it.
