Out of the Blue

Merry Christmas, or Happy Christmas if you prefer, to all who are so celebrating; here's hoping Santa was good to you. In a couple of hours we'll head off to spend some time with some of the family and play Santa too... I just hope they cleaned the chimney.

On a completely diferrent note, when you guys were talking about 'The Watchman' were you referring to the book published in 1961 by Davis Grubb, or is that something entirely different?

+1 for card games with old people.

Even tried to teach my parents Race for the Galaxy.

Good luck in the new year, and happy holidays blues newsers.

Ah, cribbage with my dad, a fine tradition. He actually won today for a change, though!

Merry Christmas.

Yep, Merry Christmas everyone.

I hope everyone's holiday was as great as mine. Spent yesterday playing cribbage and gin rummy with my dad - all the while eating of course. Today I visited Mom who cooked me an awesome roast with mashed potatos & gravy and a Dutch apple pie. When she asked me what I wanted for a vegetable side dish I said, "the vegetable oil in the margarine I'm slathering on the dinner rolls works for me".

Whoa! For Christmas I got a Black Widow spider crawling down some of its webbing from a crack in the doorway to the ceiling! Talk about disconcerting!
