For me the lack of depth combined with the internal inconsistencies (Little Lamplight, WTH?) killed the game completely.
Who the hell is going to buy Fallout 3 from these jokers over the already established, tried, and tested system of Steam?
Who cares? The game is a technical disaster anyway, no matter who you get it from.
They also announce funding for their laptop dealies, so they won't have to live up to the "Phantom" name, after all, as they will go on sale in January.
The game is about ten times deeper and more interesting than Oblivion, which itself was a fun, if shallow game.
I could be happier if I didn't have to wait months for the modders to make it into a fun game. I don't think Bethesda could have made the gameplay any more mediocre if they'd tried. I had hoped that they learned from Oblivion, but apparently they didn't learn much.

Even being skeptical. ;p
Skepticism is always the right approach to everything.

I can't wait for those texas-sized drama queens at h-ocp, you know the guys with the shaved forearms and denim shorts, to see that their nemesis Phantom is actually going to have a product.
Hocp based much of their early popularity on trashing Phantom's spolied brat CEO in a case of raw penis envy, or something. Picking the low-hanging fruit from the scandal tree as it were.
