I don't have much to say about partisan ranting, but that one is really just downright stupid and sums up pretty much everything you had to say.
The very fact that you called my rant 'partisan' illustrates that you didn't even read what I wrote beyond the hot button items that most simpletons like to focus on. I know you from these boards; you are not a simpleton - don't act like one.
You make the same (wrong) assumptions that anyone who hears their precious candidate get lambasted will generally make. FYI, I am not a Republican (I despise the Republican party) and I do not watch Fox News - it is just as bad as the rest of the abysmal media in this country.
I am absolutely saying he won many predominantly white precincts because he is black. The 'white guilt' phenomenon has never been stronger in this country. I am consistently told by every form of media and by every intellectual think tank in this country that I should feel guilty for wrongs I never committed against people who I never knew, and be ready to happily pay reparations for said wrongs. Many of my white liberal and moderate friends and acquaintances stated that the main reason they were voting Obama was because it would go a long way in "righting many wrongs", or it was overdue that we had a black president. While I wholeheartedly agree in principle, it should have been based first and foremost on the character and leadership abilities of the candidates. In many cases, it clearly was not. Before you make any more wrong assumptions, let me advise you I work in the inner city in Memphis, where I am in a distinct minority (something I have no trouble with whatsoever), a situation which I believe lends me the insight to make the claims I have made.
If you believe Obama was the best candidate out of the 2 viable choices (my ballot had 10 choices, but they obviously couldn't win), then I completely respect your opinion. But please, don't insult my intelligence by telling me I'll know all I need to to know about Obama's leadership abilities because of his ability to coherently deliver a speech written by a focus group. I base my opinions on actions, and what I've seen from Obama so far is all I can go on. It ain't good from where I sit.
EDIT: I found a link to a book with an excerpt that might interest you. And it's not even on Fox News...
