Out of the Blue

What? We know who is going to be the next president without recounts and court decisions? I guess that's democracy FTW.

There is just as much praise for Bush in Iraq as there is people that will shout him down.

Keep dreaming, buddy. Nevermind that the UN was involved in the Bosnia conflict, not the fucking Freedom Brigade assembled by Bush.

It's truly amazing and sad that Prop8 passed.

Hey, we can't have everyone equal! That just wouldn't be right!

I guess I should give InBlack a cookie for teaching me a good lesson...

I stand by my clear and concise statement. I had friends stationed in Bosnia as MPs during the "conflict" and they weren't really regarded too highly as soldiers. They were also dealing with a mess created in large part by Clinton's inaction to an increasingly volatile situation.

There is just as much praise for Bush in Iraq as there is people that will shout him down.

Dead, are you completely fucking batshit retarded? The House was REPUBLICAN from 2000-2006 and the Senate was REPUBLICAN from 2002-2006.

Yeah, thats homophobia for ya.

But, but..... California is on the forefront of liberalness! We have San Francisco and LA! All these "enlightened" people who are a beacon to the left in the US! These are not homophobes!

Deadgoon, if you knew anything at all about the state of afairs in the Balkans or Africa you wouldnt make that retarded statement. My parents happen to be from Bosnia and Ive been to Sarajevo at least 5 times since the war in Bosnia ended.

Clinton is a fucking hero in Bosnia, as are the US troops that saved the people there. In fact for a majority muslim country its surprising how much respect the US and americans command there.

On a sidenote: I'm sure the Republican party is banging their heads against every concrete wall they can find in the next few days because they pushed McCain and not Ron Paul several months ago.
I've got a feeling that the republican camps are going to need to go back to their core and clean up their act. This latest administration left a black eye on the party which I firmly believe worked in favor of the democratic party. Many people see the current state of the economy as a "Bush" problem, and since Bush is a republican the way to fix it is to get the other party in.

Oh well, here's to higher taxes and a weaker military! Hopefully "change" wasn't just a bunch of bullshit.

Obama writes his own speeches, Hoop....so you're pretty well wrong on every single assumption there.

Pumas thanks for the link, I stand corrected my appologies.
Never tried to assume hes not an intelligent man though. To surrvive that election process with the grace and intelligence that he did was incredible, & thats from someone with half an eye on the process from 3000 miles away.

There is no right or wrong here. The rich want to stay rich, and the poor want some of that action. There is no "good" or "evil". Its all a matter of perspective. I for one like to support those who have little power simply because they deserve to have what the priviledged few take for granted

Well for one thing, how many laws and bills has Bush VETOed in the last 8 or so years??

Check and balances, my friend. How many laws and bills did the legislative branch nix in the past 8 years?

Bush isn't the only twat in Washington but you guys make him out to be some kind of demon or devil. As if he is the only president to exercise his power?

How many federal lawyers did Clinton let go because they were investigating his criminal activities? Oh and don't forget the 3 countries we had soldiers in during his presidency. I'm sure the Bosnian and Somali people welcomed us with open arms when we went in as "peacekeepers".

He's never run a small business let alone a city or a state. Plus he was only in the Senate for a few months before deciding he could take on the job of Pres. Mind you that this was just months after he said he wasn't qualified to do the job.

oh please. thats the most uninformed crap about obama. youre probably one of those who shouted that obama is a terrorist at a mccain rally. obama knew he had to get into politics and indeed become president of the united states when he realized being a community organizer does not change society. read up on the man before you call him names.

Exactly what name was he calling Obama?

All he said was the truth. Obama did say he shouldn't run in 2008 because he didn't have the experience (paraphrasing here).

http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=0f8_1223516589

He never even finished a Senate term before running for the office (and decided early - after only a few months - to run). He has never been a governor or run a business.

So, exactly why are you upset again? Because someone is speaking the truth?

I like Obama as an individual. I think he is a fantastic orator - but how does speaking well make you a presidential candidate? (If that is the case, let's just vote for James Earl Jones and call it good.) I just think he has NO experience that qualifies him for the office, and his history of voting almost 100% party line and just avoiding votes does not impress upon me that he is ready either. How is that "CHANGE"? I wish Colin Powell or Condi Rice had run (for example) on the R ticket, as I would have gladly voted for them. It's not a race thing, it is an experience thing. They are two people who, over time, have impressed me with their wisdom and leadership and knowledge.

I really hope Obama does a better job than Bush.

An actual bush could do better than Bush.

What pisses me off about statements like this is the ignorance concerning what it takes to actually pass laws and bills in this country. He wasn't able to do anything without a MAJORITY vote and if I'm not mistaken the majority has been Democrat for quite some time.
