Save Your WoW Patches

WorldOfWar.Net relays a warning from Blizzard for World of Warcraft owners planning on installing the Wrath of the Lich King expansion for the MMORPG. It seems the expansion will ship with version 3.0.1, so if you've still got the version 3.0.2 patch on hand, you are advised not to delete it, so you can easily get back to the latest version after installing the expansion. Thanks Ant.

Am I ever glad I never bothered with this game. I can think of much better ways to waste your life.

Throw Away Your Television, go buy Worlds of Warcraft, install it on your computer, and join the online sensation before we all murder you!

I just logged in for the first time in months and got on my bank alt and main and sold a ton of stuff. Made a killing..now, I just need to find a reason to play when the expansion comes out.

They nerfed the raiding structure into casualville.. and i don't need any gear until my Sunwell gear becomes obsolete (lvl 77ish..guessing)..

then.. the new raids that they have out at the onset of level 80 raiding are pathetically easy.. ugh.

game isn't challenging any more..
I think i'll stick with Warhammer.

3.0.1 is huge... 3.0.2 is small and not a big deal to download again if you need to.

Also, it does move your install, but it asks you about it. You might have clicked through too quickly.

Check your wow folder. My updates are in there. And beware-this patch moved where it's installed. Friggin weird.

they say this but I went to go copy the patch to apply to my laptop and low and behold..no patch files on my desktop, anywhere. Apparently it deletes itself.
