Theyarecomingfor you, yes the VTOL (jet powered hovering transport that fires missles) is overpowered but the rest of the game is rather balanced. The game rewards skill, unlike other games out there that try too much to balance what should not be balanced out. Real warfare isn't balanced but often about exploiting advantages. What I like about PC gaming is the games that reward and encourage skill and not try to make the noobs get high scores.

Just get a tank, they are available for all. The fact that everyone can get them, balances the game out.

The infantry weaponry is very nice. On the Battleground map, there are lots of LAW missles all over the map which helps. You just need to work as a team, and fire the missiles at the tanks. In power struggle mode, there are lots of weaponry to buy too.

You don't like the game. That's your opinion, fine. I happen to be enjoying Crysis Wars a lot.

Keep in mind that Warhead is an EA game.
Spore is an EA game.
Both get good review scores, yet player opinions seem to be mixed.
Hmmmmmm.

Another Warhead review giving it 9/10? Are they playing the same game? The singleplayer is short, devoid of virtually any memorable characters (none that you don't meet in cutscenes) and overall a bit flat. The multiplayer is simply really poor - changing suit modes becomes tedious, death is far too quick and usual won by the person that spots the other first, the vehicles are completely overpowered and the non-vehicle levels it's usually easier to run around punching people in strength mode than to actually try to find weapons. Why you don't spawn with weapons I have no idea.

Crysis Warhead / Wars is an 8 to 8.5 at best. I played it for 4.5hrs and haven't touched it since.

Mount & Blade Rocks!

Would be an even greater game had it had an open ended storyline, but its cool like this as well.

Hopefully the devs get working on a sequel soon!

I have a nifty blue line!

QFA: "No persistent stat tracking will be a slight to mild turnoff for some. "

I don't mind at all. In BF2142, a game I like a lot, there were a lot of players who didn't help their team but just focused on their k/d ratio. Their win/loss ratio exposes their lack of team play. Stat padding servers in Team Fortress 2 are another example (of ego boosting). Stat tracking can lessen an online FPS.

The core game experience is much more important. Stat tracking is a gimmick, albeit sometimes nice to have.

For all its shortcomings (come on...it's indie afterall) I can't remember the last time a game kept me up several days in a row past 6AM. Sure I wish it was more robust in areas...but it's just so fun as it is. I am glad I bought it back when it was $12 though! =)
