Ships Ahoy - Medal of Honor 10th Anniversary Edition

EA announces in celebration of the 10th anniversary, they are now shipping the Medal of Honor 10th Anniversary Edition, a collection of the five PC games in the series. They are fudging their dates here a bit with this 10th anniversary stuff, as Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, the first PC installment in the series, was released in early 2002, and while this was preceded by two PlayStation Medal of Honor games, the first of these was released in November 1999, making this more of a ninth anniversary collection. Quibbles about the title aside, the $39..99 bundle will offer Medal of Honor Allied Assault, Medal of Honor Spearhead, Medal of Honor Breakthrough, Medal of Honor Pacific Assault Director’s Edition, and Medal of Honor Airborne (said to comprise "over 50 single player levels and dozens of multiplayer maps"), an exclusive Medal of Honor 10th Anniversary soundtrack, strategy guides "covering every mission in Medal of Honor Allied Assault." Exclusive in-game weapons, as well as documentaries, interviews with WWII veterans, behind-the-scenes footage on the making of the Medal of Honor franchise are also included.

Will this be like C&C: The First Decade, where it's badly compilated, missing all the bits that made the originals what they were (like the individual installers) and just generally stupid?

If this and C&C First Decade were available on Steam then I'd be in like Flynn, providing they were priced the same.

Well at least they weren't stupid with the price like they were with the C&C edition.

Huh? Individual installers made the games what they were? "and just generally stupid?" Huh? Complete sentences work best.

The PC MoH games had some pretty choice moments in them, although none were quite as good as the first. Won't buy this though since I've played all of them except Airborne, which is sitting on the CD shelf waiting for me to clear out some disc space so I can play it.

Dagok, they are referring to the fantastic DOS installer that C&C and Red Alert had in the beginning. They were quite a loss for the series as the installers helped bring you into the world. It's a shame no one does game installations quite like that anymore.

I haven't installed C&C or RA in probably 8 or 9 years, but I still remember the installers. I can't say that about any game released in the last decade.
