Gah! Nothing to confuse -- as always, the North American version has no nudity, and that's the ONLY edit. I believe that, at one point, the finishing moves were not happening as regularly as they should have... I believe that was fixed in a patch. In any event, I think I decapitated about five guys just in the prologue in the Enhanced Edition yesterday.

Polish version is totally uncut from what I read on the forums. There was uncensored mod for Witcher original game and author himself noted that some finishing moves were censored in non polish versions.

I wonder about situation with enhanced, but I believe its the same thing. Further, developer somehow messed up with NA enhanced edition lacking blood as they just released the above noted patch in this bluesnews update. This is very interesting...

Point is, based on original game both UK/NA versions of the game have censorship either nudity or finishing moves being toned down/removed. I read some of the dialogue was toned down too but I couldn't confirm this.

The sad situation is that the official site does not clarify what country and version censorship is. I wish they stated clearly whats cut and whats not in each version. Stop confusing your customers.

I just picked up The Witcher: EE via Impulse (aka NA release) and really don't see any problem with the minor censorship in there. Hell, I actually found the first censored card damn funny. Of course, at 25 I'm probably too old to appreciate fine art anymore.

I've pulled off the decapitation, so I know that and other rather gruesome finishing moves are in there. I had been wondering about the blood thing; I'll wait for the patch to get tossed up on Impulse.

It's been discussed in several Witcher threads this week and going back to the original release. How could you have not known the NA version was censored?

I just bought this today and then read about this Censored fucking bullshit. Most people that will play this game are probably well into there 30's, so let us choose what to see and what not too.

I hope people can find a way to add the uncensored sex cards, the uncensored naked models, and the uncensored finishing moves into the North American release. That would make me very happy. I hate knowing that I have the censored version of anything.
