Out of the Blue

Well, today is Labor Day here in the US, celebrated by many by not doing labor. I celebrated by sleeping in, which was pretty cool too. Speaking of celebrations, yesterday was the eight birthday of Hudson the wonder dog (eight years! where does the time go?). Hudson and the Gunnar-man each got Salmon for dinner, so even if they didn't understand the occasion, they surely regarded it as special.

I said it before and I'll say it again, User Friendly has NEVER been funny.

Pet Sensing Doorbell. We taught Hudson to ring a regular bell as a pup.

I do not know. A device that rings at 101 decibels when the dog gets near the door? Seems more like a good way to train the dogs to not go near the door at all.

Both my dogs have no problem holding their stuff for a while and communicating to me they want out. Is it really that big of a deal?

We put a bell for our two dogs to hit when they want to go out. We can't see the back door from our living room, or if I am in another room I can hear when they want to go out.

The cause of all these evils was the lust for power arising from greed and ambition; and from these passions proceeded the violence of parties once engaged in contention.

Maybe if I had seen it when I was like 14 and if I had been drunk at the time, then I probably would have thought it was hilarious.

Exactly.

Actually I find most of Blues 'The Funnies' posts to be funny.
But then again isn't it Enah's that didn't like Airplane: The Movie?

I rest my case your honor

I do not think I have ever once found any "The Funnies" Blue links to actually funny. Not one that I can remember.

Right now I can grab Shadowgrounds and Shadowgrounds: Survivor for two tokens (which works out to about $14). Is it worth it?

I'd go for it. They're fun little games that kept my interest. They're not blockbuster smashers, but nice little diversions.

I'd say if you have them sitting around, the ShadowGrounds games are worth it.

Then again I see Gish is on the list too, which was a fun game (all-be-it short).

Canada and America are just so different. It's amazing that you guys are celebrating Labor Day whilst we're celebrating Labour Day!!! Wild, eh?

In Canada Labour Day is all about "U"!

Ok, I've got a question for you guys. I just realized I have two gaming tokens that I'd forgotten about with Totalgaming.net. Right now I can grab Shadowgrounds and Shadowgrounds: Survivor for two tokens (which works out to about $14). Is it worth it? I remember people saying that the $10 preorder for Tank Universal that included one of the Shadowgrounds was a good deal.

Here's the list: http://totalgaming.stardock.com/store/

There isn't much else on the list that looks interesting for two tokens or less, and I already own Gish. The way I figure it, it's a free game since I had completely forgotten about those tokens after I used up most of them for Sins of a Solar Empire.

Edit: Just noticed Steam has the Survivor Demo. Pulling that in now to try it out.

....fuck me, I slept in this morning too!
But I didn't see it as a celebration. I saw it as a problem. A big problem.
It meant I was going to run into breakfast rush at every goddamned hovel I tried to attend.

So it went...
Fucking long weekend breakfast bullshit, don't these people believe in wholesome family pancakes!?

It's true what they say, nothing good happens after midnight.

The restaurant closed and the staff got the night off, that's pretty sweet.

Authorities say 33-year-old Michael Lasiter rushed into the Denny's restaurant late Friday and started stabbing himself in one arm with a butter knife he grabbed from a table.

They say that when that knife didn't work Lasiter took a butcher knife from the kitchen and dug it into his arm.

Police Sgt. Brian Findlen says Lasiter told officers he thought he needed to amputate his arm to keep himself from dying from the cocaine injection.

Lasiter was taken to a hospital for treatment of severe cuts.

The Denny's closed for the night.

It's true what they say, nothing good happens after midnight.
