Acragas~
3 activations.
Things that cause them:
-- Hardware Change
EA/Bioware refuses to tell us what this exactly is. But from the 19 threads (10 pages each) that is in the "off topic" section of Bioware's forums, some are saying just a video card swap can cause it.
-- Reinstall of game
This only happens if you reinstall the OS as well. If you install the game, then uninstall it but do not reload the OS or change any hardware. Then reinstall it, it won't activate again.
-- Run game under more than one account
There have been reports that if you install the game say under "Bob", run it, that eats 1 activation. Log out and run the game under "Sam", that eats another activation even tho its the SAME computer and SAME install.
After 3, you have to make a TOLL call to EA to MAYBE get them to release an activation.
Uninstalling the game DOES NOT release an activation like Bioshock did, tho the install limit on Bioshock was removed recently.
The worst part is after the first activation on install, if you change hardware the game eats another activation and from what ive read it doesn't tell you its doing that.
The number one thing about the 3 activations....
Its not mentioned ANYWHERE on or in the packaging, manuals, CD, website.
When I get home im going to eat activation #2 installing it again after an upgrade to Vista. Something I planned to do before I got the game but did not know about this limitation till weeks after the game's release.
