Where have you been the last eight years?
I have various disagreements with him in general and I am dumbfounded by the power that is now held by that office, but what really bothers me is just how lightly he takes everything.
I realize America has built up this really weird perception of wanting a father and an every day person, but this is the President of the country and the President of a relatively powerful country. I do not think the people that go into this role are restricted from having personal, human moment, but I think it is a disgrace to the position, to this country, to take it so light heartedly.
There really are complex issues requiring discussion. Things are not always simple or just common sense. This, too, is the problem with our political system - you either pick Republican or Democrat and you agree with them 99%. This country, this world, this universe is too vast to have everything come down to one of two choices, much less any simple ones.
Of Bush in particular, I refer to him as the "Cowboy in the President's office." This really has nothing to do with his party or his home state, but that he really is a f*ck*ng idiot that lives in his own magical world. He talks down to people, he states everything in very simple terms, he jokes around a lot, he lacks any type of eloquence, he is very closed in and secretive (politically,) and he's amassed scary levels of power for both government and his office.
And I'm sorry, but why, legally, are we in Iraq again? How strong is the dollar? Where is our deficit? What major movements have we made to protect, much less further, humanity as a whole?
I realize I am relatively young, contrary to what I think ;), but as far as I am concerned, he is the worst President of my lifetime.
He says what he wants. He does what he wants. He isn't truthful.Just a tad irritated %),
