Why would he be joking? I also thought this game looks fantastic. How much better does it have to look? Just being able to play a game like this in the Fallout universe with this much playtime(100 hrs!!!) is unreal.
I'm only basing this on what I've seen and read but my take...
- sepia environments (I know this is a post-nuclear wasteland, but still...)
- dumb AI
- pointless FPS
- absolutely no uses for VATS (so i pause the action to see some chance-to-hit stats then fire?)
- broken or inconsistent story (BOS working with the Enclave? WTF?)
- 100 hours sounds totally misleading because if you're given a big ass sandbox to roam around in with nothing beyond the simple "My family will die unless we have three carrots by morning" repetitive side-quests then what's the point?
Now if Bethesda decides to release Fallout 3 DRM free then I will love the game and will gladly buy it.
EA's gleeful plunge into DRM madness is making me consider NOT BUYING Spore, Mass Effect 2, or any other future EA games.
