One large city is kind of a turn off.
It all lies in the implementation - GTA4 didn't suffer because of it.
Return to Castle Wolfenstein was a decent enough game, but it really didn't have the flavor of the original Wolf3D.
Yeah, but I'm not sure the gameplay of the original would have held up against modern games. I personally enjoyed it, even if it wasn't anything revolutionary.
I'll wait and see how the game pans out. Supernatural powers aren't a turn off to me, though obviously if they're thrown in as a gimmick - like the suit in Crysis - then that's shit. They were very well implemented in Bioshock and there's we've seen nothing to suggest the same couldn't be true of this. I'm perfectly happy to bitch and moan when there's a reason to but the fuss here simply doesn't make sense to me. I only say this because when they announced COD5 was going back to WWII I, like many others thought it was a terrible idea - however, looking at the trailer it looks like they're done something original with it.
