Some games deserve being pir8ed.
Alone in the Dark, Crysis, these are two games that I've bought and they are two games that are not worth purchasing.
Both 'benefit' from Vista and require 2gb under Vista, and 1gb under XP.
While Crysis was a PC game primarily, Alone in the Dark, is a 360 game ported. Badly.
Some games just deserve pir8ing because they don't release demos, they don't support their games after release, and they don't beta test properly.
I am spending fifteen minutes loading Alone in the Dark's main menu and then the menu is a damned .BIK playing! So I load a level, another fifteen minutes!
Anytime I die, five minutes.
Fuck you Crytek, your games always suck and your engines are exceptionally demanding. Not a good mix.
Fuck you Atari, you had your day and now you just don't know how to handle yourselves as quality controllers.
Some games, just don't deserve to be bought. Companies that know this, won't release demos.
Valve releases their games over the course of a weekend. Atari could do that too, release Alone in the Dark for a week over Steam with a two day license or a day license or something.
Honestly... what a concept, right?
If some kid can beat it in a day (cause guys like me, WITH JOBS don't have the time), then KUDOS! Chances are he isn't going to have it bought for him.
Move along, y'know?
Man... some companies just deserve it. How many more years are we going to complain about information control when it's not really an issue.
