Team Fortress 2 Free Weekend

A new Team Fortress 2 Update is now available, and the promised free weekend for Valve's teamplay shooter is now underway. The patch addresses a handful of bugs. In other Steam news, Valve has announced a weekend sale on Call of Juarez that ends on Monday.

Ditto, this is a very bad combination. Servers full of people wanting to play Pyro, and servers full of noobs. Don't even bother touching the game until next weekend.

Not just that, but IMO Valve went overboard with the Pyro buff. The damage dropoff was put in for a good reason, and removing it completely was just stupid. They should have just toned it down instead.

It's not Outlaws, but I liked it. It needs a pretty hefty machine to run on high details.

Call of Juarez had a lot of potential but the stealth/platforming levels were just terrible. They should have stuck with action. Also, if you kill any horses, it's game over. I understand they wanted to balance horseback combat but that's not exactly a good solution.

TF2 is painful to play right now... I'm not touching that until the Pyro-fest calms down.

6 or 7 Pyros per team per server? Go Heavy, and pad your stats.

Hilarious. I've been mildly bitching about having a free weekend since it came out (I think I might have missed one already).

Well, I finally installed Steam and bought the Orange box online a few days ago. It's been a smooth experience. Just working through Episode 2 at the moment and might install TF2 this weekend. Which might be good timing as my lack of experience will not be as noticeable with all the other noobs packing the servers at the same time.

Anyone play this? Impressions? I played the demo and it seemed OK enough.

Regardless, 10 bucks is pretty good deal....
