"Can we finally tape flashlights to our weapons for the dark rooms?"LOL don't you know anything about physics? Sticky tape doesn't work on mars or in space.
I WANT :
- meaningful CO-OP out of the box for the single player campaign. Perhaps even with different player roles. (medic, heavy/demo, assualt, tech specialist, etc)
- Large Open areas on Mars, with bases inbetween. (with part of mars latter becoming hell, would be nice to see large plains of hell as far as the eye can see)
-Better audio (the weapons sounded wrong in doom 3)
- bit of system shock 2ness wouldn't hurt
- no dodgy vehicles like in quake 4 (also hated the art design in quake 4)
While doom 3, was a little bit of a let down in the gameplay department, 90% of the levels were amazing to look at, espcially that enpro planet level - the hot orange light of mars shining through a window into a the cold blue and frightening red lights, and cold metal of the space station was like cocaine for my eyes. The maps were simply beautiful.
I wish the dark areas werent completely dark, but a dark blue like those areas in the aliens movies - you can tell its night time but you can still see, and everything isnt an ugly grey colour.
Co-op was amazing with the LMS and Open Coop mods!
I still think the "feel" of the game was a bit off, it felt fake and plastic - where as in hl2, everything looks and acts the way you'd except, it just seems right.
The game will be on pc, mac, xbox, and ps3 since the new tech 5 engine does all of those with the click of a button
