This video strikes me mostly as a morale-booster for the troops at Maxis, to give them one last burst of oomph necessary to push this baby out. I mean, if you were on the Spore team and saw yourself in this video where everyone is talking about what legendary work you're doing, how could you not chuff up a bit?

I think Spore is likely to go the way of The Movies. Decent sales, but not the smash hit they were hoping for.
