A free bonus map pack for Unreal Tournament 3 is now available, offering
a new CTF map called "Searchlight," along with remakes of UT classics "Facing
Worlds" and "Morbias." These maps are also available for PS3 owners via the
Playstation Network. Word is: "This Bonus Pack includes 3 new maps. Morbias is
the deathmatch arena that started it all, perfectly suited for anything from
small intense duels to chaotic free-for-all matches. The Unreal Tournament
classic, Facing Worlds was one of the most played maps in gaming history. This
beloved sniper map makes its return alongside an intricate new capture the flag
map, Searchlight, designed for both z-axis rooftop runs and strategic indoor
gameplay. Returning classics and fresh new designs let you experience Unreal
gaming like never before." The pack is on the

heh, something like 4 years later i finally get the 'facing worlds' reference my friend made about UT2004 when i said i liked the demo.
he said 'whats not to like? destroying enemies! facing worlds!'

I still want to get this game regardless of it's failure on PC. UT 2004 had a stupidly huge UI as well, but millions of gamers tolerated it.
The biggest thing stopping me is the hardware requirements.

Just be glad the map pack is free...and for PS3 users too.
Turok owners (not me) got a pack of 5 maps on PSN today and they are charging $5 for it. Shit game that has sold over a million units and they still want to push their luck and charge $5 for 5 maps.
Propaganda/Touchstone should be counting their blessings and reward the the suckers that bought their game.

What could be more crucial then Facing Worlds?
Hard to get excited - they're maps that should have been included. Also, I think there are more 'crucial' maps that i'd have rather seen released.

I have to disagree. I think it looks stunning. I don't play ut3 anymore but the maps look amazing. Props to them for releasing them for free in this new age of micro-transactions.

Well, the Facing Worlds remake is terrible - the graphics are far too busy and it seriously detracts from the fun. My biggest complaint about UT3 is that the graphics are simply too busy and everything ends up looking very samey.

UT3 is a fantastic game.. Maybe the UI isn't done but once in the game its great fun. Definitely recommend this game for any old school shooter fans interested in a sci-fi type setting.
