I like others found myself weighing consoles against PCs...$400 vs $1200+ (especially when you look at requirements and recommendations for Assassin's Creed) is not a terribly hard call.
Right, because everyone knows that you have to buy a completely new PC every few years. It's not like you can just replace the videocard or anything.
BTW, you are probably referring to the rumored specs for AC. The ones that said you needed 3 gigs of RAM. Yeah, those specs were wrong. Updated, official specs have since been released and they are considerably lower.
I already had an HD TV, and now when I play Assassin's Creed in 57 glorious 1080i goodness at wonderful framerates...
By "wonderful framerates," you mean 30 fps, with occasional slowdown and frequent texture pop-in?
