To Three Forums by THQ director of creative management Michael Fitch venting
his frustrations with the state of PC gaming following the closure of Iron Lore
Entertainment (story). The lengthy post outlines concerns about
rampant piracy, how Titan Quest's reputation suffered when pirates reported
crashes (which were caused by failure to properly crack the game's DRM),
complaints about hardware vendors creating compatibility issues, stupid users
and bad reviewers. He concludes trying to look at the bright side: "Alright, I'm
done. Making PC products is not all fun and games. It's an uphill slog,
definitely. I'm a lifelong PC gamer, and hope to continue to work on PC games in
the future, but man, they sure don't make it easy."
Well he knows he is lying, since Piracy is stealing then selling for profits and has been for 100s of years.
Trying a game/software for free before you buy it, to find out IF it even worked on your system or IF you liked it enough to buy it, used to be called DEMOS or TRAILWARE, pick a name.
Then even if you take this bogus bullshit about piracy at face value, the idea it exist more on PCs than consoles is bullshit once again, i.e. The Circle of Bullshit! (trademarked by me

PC gaming is in about 2nd or 3rd place of the 5 (other 4 are the consoles) most popular gaming formats, so if you add up the 4 major console systems to stand against the PC in sales, you also have to add them together to get the console game theft rate, which puts PC with less game theft than consoles.
