New KOTOR Follow-up

EA sent a clarification about indications that a new Knights of the Old Republic game is in the works (story), saying the slide in question has been misinterpreted, and the game in works at BioWare is a "New MMO": "The slide in John's presentation is titled 'Best Creative Talent' -- it addresses future and past titles. KOTOR, Black, Boogie, Skate and some other titles on the slide speak to past portfolio releases and the pedigree of the studio but do not specifically address future sequels. The MMO in development at Bioware Austin is listed a 'New MMO'. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused."

Maybe I'm stretching this too much, but I'd say that the Secret Order of the Emperor was an "RPG element." And it was the best part of the best game ever.

I was thinkin along the same lines...you start out as a nobody, as you're assigned missions. But in between missions, you have Wing Command 1 style conversations with other characters (with different dialogue responses), and eventually you move up and start picking missions from a group.

Depending on what you do on a given mission (what you shoot down) other missions might become available. Or X number of points/kills that you earn by shooting down enemies qualifies you for new weapons and ships...

But like other have said: I'd take any sort of TIE Fighter sequel, even a straight port of the old missions to a new engine.

I know the last Secret Weapons game wasn't the best. Fine. If Holland isn't up to it, bring another team in.

edit: And a damn mission tree like WC1: so that, depending on if you won or lost a mission, the story/missions would change, which would help replayability.
