EA sent a clarification about indications that a new Knights of the Old Republic
game is in the works (story), saying the slide in question has
been misinterpreted, and the game in works at BioWare is a "New MMO": "The slide
in John's presentation is titled 'Best Creative Talent' -- it addresses future
and past titles. KOTOR, Black, Boogie, Skate and some other titles on the slide
speak to past portfolio releases and the pedigree of the studio but do not
specifically address future sequels. The MMO in development at Bioware Austin is
listed a 'New MMO'. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused."
When it was 'pseudo-announced' yesterday I was kinda surprised. Bioware has a lot on their table right now. ME PC, downloadable content for Xbox360 ME, ME2/3, Dragon Age and the unannounced MMOG.
That and it wasn't that long ago Bioware said they were gonna start doing only their own IPs because it was simply to much a pain in the ass to work on someone elses.
But hey, for enough cash, I'm sure they'd eventually agree to do another.
