Well going from Premium to Ultimate probably doesn't get you anything you'd really use, otherwise you'd prolly have gone that route already. |

All jokes aside, where in Tulsa did you go to get one? I didn't know anyone around here was selling them, and keep forgetting to ask you... Jackie Cooper imports.
They had like 8 or 9 they said. But the only people that got them were people that "pre-ordered" them months ago. You had to pay a deposit and everything.

Anyone remember when Microsoft was running their Windows Feedback program promo a few months ago? Basically if you let MS track your usage for 3 months they'd give you a free copy of Vista Ultimate, Office Ultimate or a couple of other pretty good deals. They actually ended it early because word got out and a ton of people were signing up for it.
I just got an email telling me that I made it in before the cutoff date. Now that I've already picked up Vista Home Premium is it worth getting tracked for 3 months?

Ok, I was going to pre-order this, turned out I can't because it won't let you pre-order using PayPal (why not, I don't know). However, I was curious about the pricing. The MSRP is listed as $39.99. However the pre-order cost was $44.95. Isn't pre-ordering supposed to give you a discount? Why would I want to pay $5 more for ... what I'm not even sure, since with digital distribution, a "pre-order" doesn't seem like it would really accomplish much.
Anyone know what's going on there?

Bats, I'm sure you must have said, but I missed it. What are you getting? Well, I had a 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4x4 with SelecTrac (on the fly 4 wheel drive at any speed, also the LAST year they made the regular Cherokee - I don't know why it has a HUGE following) - and I got that for a song with only 68k on it, it was MurderBlack with dark windows, premium alum wheels, full size spare, etc, thing was flawless. Great Jeep, never had a vehicle so reliable and also got better than average gas mileage. I need something to transport my two now 80 pound labs in.
So, I was damn near sold on a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee (last year they used SelecTrac), but the 2005s were only a little more and completely new. Once I drove it - I knew it was what I wanted. Feels more like a car than a bouncy Jeep.
So. If I could find (and I can't) a 01 just like I had, I would buy it in a heartbeat, but I can't find one, and having only 1 car between the two of us is hard.
So, I will most likely go with a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee again in MurderBlack - (I am going with 05 instead of 06 for the better warranty, since price is damn near identical, the 06 warranty sucks). And it is AWD, you can put it in low if needed for ditch, icy, etc. It feels pretty nice, and still gets very decent mpg. I am undecided on what engine size (3.7, 4.7, or 5.7 Hemi) doesn't really matter to me, just looking for one without the tow package so I know it hasn't been tortured with towing shit.
I have about 6 to look at tomorrow around the metro. Also going to take another look at 5-6 2004s, just to make sure. And there are also two 2001s SIMILAR but not exact as what I used to have. So, covering all the bases. I have a blank check and am ready to rock.
/edit: Now with all that being said, if I don't find what I want, or they aren't willing to deal, I am fine riding the bus for another week. Let them think about it. There are LOTS avail.....and I have more books to read anyway.
