I didn't mind the first demo despite it reminding me more of UT than the original Speedball 2. If there's any depth to the team management it could be decent.
I wish the used all their fancy particle effects for more gore. When you played the original you always imagined sprays of blood and shards of armour splintering away, whereas in this new version with the shiny graphics, you can see explicitly that's not happening. It neither looks nor feels brutal. More like handball with some pushing.
