Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars SDK

The Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars Website now offers what's described as the final edition of the Software Development Kit for Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars, Splash Damage's teamplay first-person shooter. Accompanying the release is the ETQW MegaTexture Media Pack for those looking to create custom MegaTextures. Anyone seeking help using these tools or otherwise creating custom content for the game are directed to the Splash Damage Editing Wiki and the ETQW Editing Forum. Additional download mirrors can be found on FileFront, Gamer's Hell, and The Patches Scrolls.

Does anyone else find it disturbing that they've called this the 'final' edition of the SDK, as in they aren't going to even attempt to update the game (and thus the SDK) anymore?

No, it just means the previous SDK release was a beta, and this is the final, real SDK.

They gotta pay their bills too. Saying that their not gonna update the SDK doesn't mean they won't patch the game if something major comes out. However I'm sure the majority of them are working on whatever's next.

ET:QW didn't do too well in the market I think. Which is a pity as it's a good game IMO.

quite impressive the ModWiki, I'm not a modder but I don't recall seeing any "official" documentation for modders anything like that extensive before.
