GameSpot May See Mass Resignations Over Dismissal on Kotaku hears from a
GameSpot employee whose identity is being withheld as he discusses allegations
that the departure of editor Jeff Gerstmann was over a negative review
(story). The story states that "mass resignations" may yet take
place in the site's disheartened editorial staff as the source says "our
credibility is in ruins." The story offers speculation about friction between

discussing the way reviews are vetted at the site and describing the pressure
their advertising department places on their editorial process.
Hi Golem, what happened to the Escapist? Sorry I don't quite keep track on that site/online mag.
Nothing happened, Golem has taken their review of Witcher personally because the reviewer did not complete the game. He played about 10 hours worth and wrote the review. (Which he stated in the review...?!)
I didn't think the Escapist had credibility at this point, I had never heard of them until the Zero Punctuation started popping up.
I don't think anything has added to or taken away from credibility of the escapist recently.
