Leisure Suit Larry to Return?

Rumor: New Leisure Suit Larry Game In Production is a report stemming from yesterday's Howard Stern Show where comedian Artie Lange dropped a tidbit indicating he is to voice a character named Big Al in an upcoming Leisure Suit Larry game. No other information beyond this hint was provided. Thanks FiringSquad.

hmm... episodic. thats a stroke of genius! hehe, i said 'stroke'. maybe that what this game needs to get rid of the limp.

the goal is to score with a woman, not your hand...

lol I wonder if Artie is going to get in trouble for droppin' this tidbit. I doubt it though because probably a shitload of stern fans will be more interested in the game now

Larry1 and 3 is by far the best adult adventure game ever to have taught me at 8years old, everything I needed to know about women

and ever since then they called you the ladies man right?

When LSL6 came out I lost interest, and the series has gone limp ever since. The only way this series would work is if Sierra makes it episodic.

If it's anything as stinky as MagnaCumLaude, which did not deserve to bear its name of Larry. . then "This does not compute"

In my early teens I played all of Sierra's adventure games include LSL1, 2, 3, 5 (creator Al Lowe thought it would be a humorous joke to skip #4). When LSL6 came out I lost interest, and the series has gone limp ever since. The only way this series would work is if Sierra makes it episodic. I wouldn't mind playing LSL if it was like S&M. No pun intended?

Unfortunately Sierra is dead. Now, just like Atari, the brand name is owned by a corporation and it means nothing.

Wow, I remember LSL: In the Land of the Lounge Lizards being my first computer game. If it wasn't for Larry, we never would have upgraded to a CGA moniter!

*wonders what the original sound track would sound like on something other then the original case speaker*

Found it! I think I liked the PC Speaker version better...

Using a steering wheel on a Burnout game is like using the Space Shuttle controls to fly a kite.

it would have to be something that captures what the original stood for, however, not a collection of substandard mini games.

The original was sort of funny and censored itself iirc. Maybe we are all just so burned out from the selling of sex and the over exposure of it that the whole 'wink wink nod nod' use your imagination aspect of it is akin to firing blanks?

Maybe.

there was a lot more wrong with that game other than the loss of al lowe. honestly (and i'll take a beating for this i'm sure) i think it's possible to make a good leisure suit larry game without him. it would have to be something that captures what the original stood for, however, not a collection of substandard mini games.

I spent a lot of time in Police Quest, Kings Quest and the first few LL.

The last LL was pretty lame.

I have some found memories of playing those old LSL games back in the early 90's. I must have played all the LSL, Space Quest, & Police Quest games. I still think Police Quest 2 was just awesome.
