More Crysis Demo Fun

Rock, Paper, Shotgun points the way to a post on the Crysis-HQ.com Forum (thanks Ant) where they've discovered loads of content in the recently released Crysis demo (story) that's not included in the demo map. They've cooked up a Demo Map #4 download that adds additional vehicles and weapons to the original demo map, and a new Demo Funmap #5 that adds a new small island to the demo map along with these hidden toys. Of course this is all unsupported, and those who choose to do this may be spoiling aspects of the full game for themselves.

"I just received the latest edition of PC Gamer yesterday and they give it 98% which if I believe, is their highest score ever for a game..."

According to Creston:
"The only reason to read PC Gamer is because they have a good "new shit coming up" section. Their reviews are about as useful as Flagship's pricing model."

The demo is quite good. Except for one thing - the vehicles. They are, imo, pretty crappy. If it's not flipping for no reason, blowing up when relatively undamaged, or getting stuck on an enemy rifle, it's being unable to shoot along the horizon in a boat. I know vehicles aren't really the focus of the game, but when they are in the game, I expect them to work much better than the demo showcases. I hope that's something they tweaked for the final version.

So because a gaming magazine says it's good you should buy it????

Go look at their Doom3 rating.

98% from PC Gamer ah? Wow. I personally don't expect it to be better then the Orange Box in the least, but who knows. But with todays reviewers giving crap like Halo 3 100%, I'll reserve judgement until I can read the review or play the game myself lol.

Which is why I'm going to agree with and not bother with the editor until I have the game.

But I admit, the game is pretty sweet!

Surprised that they didn't disable the save function of the editor, even though not all the art assets are there you can really switch up the gameplay with the editor, and so many spoiler weapons and vehicles, seems like somebody goofed.

I'm waiting for the game. It's not often a game comes along like this, I'm not going to ruin it. That's why i won't even mess with the editor until full version arrives and i have played through the experience.

This game is the bomb!

Been playing with the editor myself and really enjoy setting up combat situations to play.

Gonna try out some of these home-brewed tests.
