Bioware has said time and again the game is based off their own IP. Why would they do a game based off KotOR when they didn't even want to do KotOR 2 because of a strained relationship with Lucasarts? That said, I do believe it is 'space based', perhaps based off the Mass Effect universe. Who knows.
Oh, and this better F*#&$ING NOT be a Console game. MMOGs are PC games, and Bioware has all but ignored their PC base on the last 4+ years. It's f'ing pathetic that they've been doing so. Sure we got a PC KotOR and Jade Empire, (TWO YEARS after the fact,) but can ANY PC cRPG player say with a strait face that either of these games didn't have console-itus, dumbed down features story-line and length. They were both good games with good stories told in typical Bioware fashion, but they PALED compared to the PC oriented releases of before Biowares relationship with M$.
I actually, for one, hope that EA having bought Bioware means at least that their games will see more (and faster, and less console-ized) PC releases. But it's a thin veil of a hope that I barely dare have.
But yea, if this is a console only MMOG. I'm going to be far far more pissed off at Bioware then I already am. Maybe a PC/Console release (that isn't to dumbed down and console-ized,) but if it's console only, gods help all PC cRPG fans, for an era will have ended. Cause Bioware will basically be saying 'you millions of PC fans better join the masses and buy a console, cause otherwise we simply don't give a f#^k about you anymore otherwise.'
