An update for World of Warcraft is now available, bringing Blizzard's MMORPG to
version 2.2.3. As always, the new version is available automatically, and the
WoW Current Patch Notes
outline the bug fixes included in the update. Manual editions of the US patch
are on
3D Downloads,
ActionTrip, and
FileFront.
Let's see...
9 miilion accounts, that's (roughly) $450 million in box sales, plus (let's average) 4.5 million * $15/month * 12 months/year * 3 full years = another $810 million in monthly fees, plus uncountable numbers for merchandising, character transfers, etc.
Let's round up to $1.3 billion in revenue.
