Even though the Quake Wars Beta consumed most of my time, I did play a couple of matches in the CoD4 360 Beta. Gotta admit it was pretty good.

I played the MP beta on 360 and it's fair to say that Infinity Ward know what they're doing. This won't disappoint!

Exactly. Go play the last 2 MoH games and you'll see the result of the Infinity Ward crew absence. Dull, boring gameplay (Pacific Assault had a couple of moments but not often enough). They're amazingly talented.

It makes you wonder how they'll top themselves next.

LOL. You didn't remember this happens every year?

Nah, this year's lineup is especially heavy in the "polished FPS" category.

Wow. I'd heard good things about this game but I frankly wasn't expecting much. However, the video of it looks amazing - the graphics, the atmosphere, the gameplay, etc. I'll certainly be checking out the demo when it's available... it's just a shame I have to commute that day and might not get back until the Sunday.

Yeah, unfortunately here where I live, people, often children, are killed every year just sitting in their homes when some worthless gang punks shoot it out in the street.

I imagine it's usually just pistol rounds too. Rifle rounds will go a long way, through a lot of stuff, before stopping.

The gameplay movies of this game look great. I'm thinking this one is a keeper.

When it comes to indoor environments though, rifle rounds probably could easily go clear through a house made with just sheetrock or plaster.

When I was younger "much younger think that 70’s show" I was at a party in a single wide trailer some fools where in the back bedroom at the far end playing around with a loaded 22 rifle when it went off.

Yea even 22 bullets go right threw cheap paneling.

I can see this actually being used to help with camping. Take all the popular camping spots and ensure they aren't protected by thick enough cover.

I'm pretty sure I saw some sort of radar in the video, otherwise you'd have a point.

As always I will give it a shot, but I wish they did something else to try and get rid of the game's reputation as Campers on Duty, rather than help it.

Understood, I'm not a big fan of being victim to camping either. Infinity Ward has done a fantastic job of balancing the weaponry so it feels powerful but also they have limitations that should keep the overt campers at bay. Having said that, it's just the nature of these types of games that it attracts such players.

That way you could just sneak along, pull out your rifle and fire a few rounds through that little nook that's always got some punk camping out in it.

Aero,
Weapons do reduced damage through walls, but one of the perks, called "Deeper Penetration" (uh huh huh) has your bullets do more as it impacts. Just one option that you can play with.
