It wasn't bad. It was different. The gross scenes were yucky like the title/main menu screen. I agree on the stupid hit the keys scenes. Lame.

I am not getting the full game.

I don't like the console fps elements of it at all:
1. Autosave points
2. Action sequences where you have to press the directional buttons that correspond to what the onscreen display tells you to press. This is so incredibly hokey in this day and age to me.
3. Regenerating ammo.
4. It's totally linear and a corridor shooter at least in the demo.

Overon, I agree with all your points, and I'm going to add some of my own.

5. The whole thing suffers from consolitis, right down to the control scheme.
6. having to hold the button down for your powerup to work...sounds familiar...oh yeah, that's cause I had just been playing Twisted Metal Black on PS2. If you don't have a 9-button mouse, this forces you to use the keyboard for these actions, making it difficult to move (with 3 fingers on the movement keys already).
7. The developer splash screen was more frightening than the game itself.
8. I know games are striving to get rid of health meters, but how the hell am I supposed to know when I'm dying? Maybe I was too tired, but there was never any indication that I was being mortally wounded by the bad guys.

Please remake Undying...that game truly freaked me out. DOOM 3 was scarier than this game, exceedingly so (probably because you were alone). What little I played of Bioshock was scarier.

Thoroughly disapointed.

Yeah, they should remake Undying for consoles with Bioshock graphics, and tighten up the levels/gameplay Clive is working with Codemasters now though and Undying was made by EA/Dreamworks :/

i was not impressed by the demo. the squad based setup bogged down the action. and at times the other squad members get in your way. the only thing i liked about it is the character models. they are top notch. i wish undying had the same fancy graphical effects.

Agree on the ads. But also realize that Blue needs to eat...

Agree that paying for downloads sucks. I actually did try to download something on Christmas Eve at 2:00am Eastern from FP... and got put in line. I guess it was allof the insomniac Jehovah's Witnesses holding me up!

The Demo? Not bad, not great. It doesn't really give me a good feel for how the game will be, though. It's different, so it might be somewhat of an acquired taste. I'm going to wait for the release and some solid reviews first.

Zeph: Once again, I have to agree with you. This is similar to the asswipes who bitch about everything being made in China nowadays, yet they are shopping at Wal-mart everyday and don't make an effort to buy U.S. goods.

If you want to bitch and complain, at least make an effort to fix the problem, or else you look like another mouth breathing imbecile.

Which is roughly 99% of Bluesnews.

LOL!!! You people have caps on your connections??? LMFAO!!!
Yeah, because it's all our fault that the telecommunications companies have a complete monopoly. I guess unlimited Internet is so important that I should move to some shithole country just for it? Get over yourself.

It *IS* your fault. I just wrote a stance on not ever buying from a pop-up ad or supporting wait times by purchasing a subscription to a download service. I've also championed against episodic gaming and monthly fee gaming. When people create a profitable business for a company, then that profitable business strategy is going to be repeated over and over. If no one used the pop-up ads then they wouldn't be something that makes any business sense at all; but they are used, all the time obviously because there is always more and more of them & soon they'll be in our video games too.

YOU!!!! are the reason that you have caps on your internet. This is *YOUR* fault. HAve you wrote one single letter to your telecommunications company? Have you wrote one single letter to your government representative? Have you done one single thing except take it up the ass just like everyone else? THIS IS YOUR FAULT! You are partially responsible, just like everyone else that accepts overpriced anything. Just say no. I don't have a cell phone. Their prices are too high. I've written to all the major carriers and my state and federal governments, and I will continue to do so; but I will not own a cell phone that charges people to "text" or other so called features which are actually just "blocks" that the companies turn off for you. Did you also know that your cell phone contains a federal tax that has been around since the American Revolutionary War???? If you don't agree with it, then don't put up with it. But don't be ignorant about it & don't cry about your country and call another country a shithole if you can't even get the caps off your internet in your shithole.

I didnt like the tunnel part where you gotta get the keys just right or you die, kinda loses its appeal when i'm trying my 3rd or 4th time to play the same segment because one wrong key and your dead.

With my connection, i can nearly triple that "constant" speed. So if i downloaded at my max, all night long (just say 8 hours) then i would hit 1TB a month, which i've done before as well.

Of course downloading at much faster speeds is possible, that's just a ridiculous amount of content for personal use. If you assume something like 600megs per hour of video, 1 TB is 70 straight days of video.

I liked it. It ran smooth as butter on my new 8800GTS, the controls were very polished for both Mouse/key and 360 gamepad (I tried both). I really don't see how its "console centered" as someone mentioned.

I do think the full game is going to take some getting used to though. Trying to use 3 characters is a bit of a handfull but with 5-6 it will be a challenge. Also, the storyline is a bit cornball over-the-top but I'd expect no less from Barker. Otherwise I'm pretty impressed at the level of polish and atmosphere the game has at this point.

Don't download.

I was really really really excited to try this game - and I am disappointed. (may have to do with TF2 and BioShock) The game suffers from really bad consolitis.

Played a few times, and it just doesn't cut it.
