I don't like the console fps elements of it at all:
1. Autosave points
2. Action sequences where you have to press the directional buttons that correspond to what the onscreen display tells you to press. This is so incredibly hokey in this day and age to me.
3. Regenerating ammo.
4. It's totally linear and a corridor shooter at least in the demo. Overon, I agree with all your points, and I'm going to add some of my own.
5. The whole thing suffers from consolitis, right down to the control scheme.
6. having to hold the button down for your powerup to work...sounds familiar...oh yeah, that's cause I had just been playing Twisted Metal Black on PS2. If you don't have a 9-button mouse, this forces you to use the keyboard for these actions, making it difficult to move (with 3 fingers on the movement keys already).
7. The developer splash screen was more frightening than the game itself.
8. I know games are striving to get rid of health meters, but how the hell am I supposed to know when I'm dying? Maybe I was too tired, but there was never any indication that I was being mortally wounded by the bad guys.
Please remake Undying...that game truly freaked me out. DOOM 3 was scarier than this game, exceedingly so (probably because you were alone). What little I played of Bioshock was scarier.
Thoroughly disapointed.
