OK, been refining my choices a bit and here's where I stand right now:
Case - Antec Nine Hundred - $140
PS - Silverstone ST50EF-Plus 500W - $99
MB - DFI Blood Iron P35-T2RL - $140
CPU - Intel Core2 Quad Q6600 - $280
Memory - Crucial Ballistix DDR2 800 (4GB) - $220-$80 rebates = $140
Video - EVGA 8800 GTS 320 MB - $290-$20 rebates = $270
HD - WD Caviar SE16 500GB - $115
DVD - two Samsung 20x SH-S203B burners - $64
Monitor - Samsung 216BW (21.6" widescreen) - $260
grand total of about $1,509 plus tax, etc. at Newegg.
Similar system at Dell was over $1900, IIRC. Not bad, I think. Any suggestions?
Edit - I am going to keep the keyboard - Saitek Eclipse - for now and maybe the mouse - Logitech MX510. Those are minor items I can always address later....
