Intel to Wreak Havok

Intel to buy Irish game software tools firm reports that Intel is purchasing Havok, the creator of physics software used in both games and movies (thanks Mike Martinez). Word is the Dublin-based company will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Intel, and that they will continue to operate independently.

Maybe Intel wants to buy nVidia. That'd be super ah? Even LESS choice and competition!

Seriously, I don't know why they are making the movie either. But yea if it's to make it so that AMD's graphics cards can't use havok physics built in (nVidia has been planning on having hardware on their next gen cards specifically to support havok physics for a while now,) then that's a stupid reason. Though I wouldn't put it passed them.
