Bloodlines Patch

A new unofficial patch for Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines is now available, bringing the Source-engine action/RPG from deceased developer Troika to version 4.1. The patch and a list of what's fixed and changed can be found on The Patches Scrolls, and the download is mirrored on FileFront and Gamer's Hell.

I once went on Rainier's Retard Ride.
The RRR had Zero content, lots of clicking, and the final result was a 3rd party downloading site that I could have found on my own.

Here you go, skyguy try Payne's site, half way down look for Malk voices.

Trust me, most of the names I have been called you can't translate in any language...they're not even real words as much as a succesion of violent images.
Scorpio Slasher: ... What about you boy, what do hate?
Marcus: ... Bullies. Tiny d*ck egotists who hurt people for no reason, make people lock their doors at night. People who make general existence worse, people like you.

I'm playing through as a female malk right now, actually I'm almost finished with it. I admit, the tuna and the chef joke was pretty funny, as is all the dialogue, but one thing I seem to be missing that everyone talks about is the hearing of voices. I've heard maybe 4 or 5 whispers the whole game, and each time its too soft to make out what's being said. Do you have to be really low on humanity to hear a lot of voices or what?

Fion
My thoughts exactly and the Malk maybe the best written Player character in a game to date.
You can certianly play as a Malk first but you would misunderstand the answers and not know what your answers's meaning many times.
So you could be making decisions you didn't mean to.

Thanks for that info, I didn't know what the conflict was about.
My guess is since Blue is not banning him, is that BLue hopes he comes to his senses and stop his evil ways.

This is an absolutely fantastic action cRPG. Each 'clan' available in the game plays differently, some remarkably unique. It's worth getting these player updates and playing through the game a few times. I recommend you at least play the Malkavian, but not until you've beat the game with something else. Cause there are things that happen on the Malkavian side of the game that will blow your mind, especially if you know what the character is talking about. Hard to explain, but a must play.

As far as I know the patches work fine with the Steam version of the game, just extract and overwrite directories as normal. Maybe have steam backup the local game content first just to be on the safe side.

I never did end up finishing it, and never tried any of these user patches.

Now is a real good chance to finish it. People often comment about all the "fixes" for this game - really, they're more adjustments at this point - but it's really stable and fun to play now.

Does anyone know if there's a way to get these unofficial patches to work with the Steam version of the game? As it is now I got fed up somewhere in Hollywood and haven't been back since.

For those that know the website I think we need to visit and send off a flurry of emails to the editors to tell them to stop. Who's with me?!

I might start playing this game again now

I've been thinking the same thing recently. I never did end up finishing it, and never tried any of these user patches. Also, now that I have a faster machine, I think I'll dust it off and give it a try again.

And about Rainer - what the fuck is the deal with him?

Rainier posts links to a website that routinely plagiarizes stories from Bluesnews. Why Blue just doesn't ban him I don't know.

Talk about dedication! I might start playing this game again now

And about Rainer - what the fuck is the deal with him? I can't see a comment from him that ISN'T removed. Is blue removing all of them manually? If so, hasn't he long since overstayed his welcome? Why not just ban him?
